Solution Tools Plug-In (ST-PI)

The add-on Solution Tools Plug-In (ST-PI) provides Basis and Trace Tools, which are required for service delivery and system monitoring.

The Solution Tools Plug-In contains the latest version of:

* Function modules for data collection
* Transaction SDCCN (Service Data Control Center)¹
* Transaction SQLR (SQL Trace Interpreter)¹

¹ SDCCN and SQLR are included in ST-PI for releases 4.0B - 4.6D. For release SAP Web AS 6.10 and higher the transactions are included in the SAP Basis. Changes are shipped by basis support packages.
Spotlight

* As of November 11, 2005 Support Package 03 for ST-PI 2005_1 is available.
It provides all corrections for ST-PI 2005_1 SP02 and some new functions.
* Install ST-PI 2005_1 with Support Package 03 (ST-PI 2005_1 SP03) on all SAP systems in your system landscape including the SAP Solution Manager.
* ST-PI 2005_1 requires a low Basis Support Package Level, therefore an installation should be possible on most systems. See SAP Note 769623 for further information.

General Download Information

The download file for the Solution Tools Plug-In Add-On and the Support Package can be downloaded by release in the current folder.
Implementation

Follow the installation instructions in SAP Note 769623. The Solution Tools Plug-In is imported using the SAP Add-On Installation Tool (transaction SAINT). The Support Package is imported using the Support Package Manager (transaction SPAM).

The Solution Tools Plug-In must be installed on all SAP systems in your system landscape including the SAP Solution Managerr

Please note that in the case of SAP R/3 3.0D, 3.0F, 3.1G, 3.1H, and 3.1I, the solution tools are still available as a transport and not as an add-on.
